High Molecular Weight Solventborne Solid Acrylic Resin For Glass
Transfer Ink & Peelable Films
Acrylic resins thermoplastic, with their unique balance of
adhesion, flexibility, heat resistance, and film-forming
properties, play a vital role in the development of ceramic and
glass thermal transfer inks and peelable films. In ceramic and
glass thermal transfer applications, acrylic resins act as binders,
firmly anchoring pigments during the printing and transfer process,
ensuring sharp image reproduction and excellent dispersion.
Tthermoplastic acrylic resins' heat resistance and strong adhesion
to smooth, low-energy surfaces such as glass and ceramics make them
ideal for creating decorative patterns that remain vibrant,
durable, and abrasion-resistant even after curing or firing.
In peelable film applications, acrylic resins are formulated to
provide controlled adhesion: strong enough to protect the surface
during processing or storage, yet capable of cleanly peeling
without leaving residue. Their toughness and flexibility prevent
cracking or tearing, while their clarity and gloss ensure the
protective layer does not compromise visibility and aesthetics.
Furthermore, acrylic resins are highly compatible with copolymer
resins such as CPP, enabling customized solutions tailored to
varying performance requirements.
Product Description
SA-524 is a high molecular weight thermoplastic acrylic resin whose
main component is n-BMA copolymer. Its excellent dispersibility
ensures uniform distribution of pigments, resulting in clear, vivid
and consistent printing effects in thermal transfer
applications.SA-524 has good flexibility, allowing the film and ink
layer to withstand bending, peeling or handling without cracking,
while maintaining temporary adhesion during the transfer process.
High molecular weight acrylic resin SA-524 has a moderate glass
transition temperature (45°C), which strikes a balance between
toughness and film integrity, ensuring durability during processing
while achieving clean, residue-free peeling in tearable film
applications. In addition, its high molecular weight and high
viscosity help form a strong film, making it an ideal choice for
the production of high-performance ceramic decoration, screen
printing and protective tearable films.
