Product Description
The TRZYQ1000 Mud Gas Separator (commonly known as a Poor Boy Degasser) is a high-capacity safety device engineered to remove hazardous free gas—including toxic H₂S and flammable hydrocarbons—from drilling fluids. Installed downstream of the choke manifold, it plays a critical role in well control, restoring mud density and viscosity to safe operating levels and preventing kicks, blowouts, or other dangerous drilling incidents.
With a processing capacity of 240 m³/h and a 1,000 mm main body diameter, the TRZYQ1000 is built for both onshore and offshore applications, offering dependable gas separation performance under demanding drilling conditions. Fabricated from H₂S-resistant carbon steel and fully certified to ExdIIBt4 / IECEx / ATEX standards, it ensures safe operation in hazardous environments.
The system features a DN125 mm inlet, DN200 mm outlet, and DN200 mm gas discharge line, ensuring controlled venting and safe gas disposal to flare systems. With a weight of 2,235 kg and dimensions of 2000 × 2000 × 5860 mm, the TRZYQ1000 is skid-mounted for structural stability and ease of rig-up.
