140DDI84100 Schneider Relay Module 140DDI84100 is a DC discrete input module launched by Schneider
Electric, belonging to the Modicon Quantum automation platform
product. The module has 16 discrete input points, divided into 8
channels, which can be connected to field devices such as switches
and sensors that can output digital signals. Each input channel can
receive a voltage signal of 10-60V DC and is compatible with
various DC voltage sensors and devices. For source type (PNP) and
drain type (NPN) sensors, the module can be flexibly adapted
through its sink/source capability; The module adopts electrical
isolation technology, with isolation barriers set between the input
side and internal circuits. The isolation voltage between each
channel and the bus is 2500Vrms DC, and the isolation voltage
between groups is 700Vrms DC, which can effectively suppress common
mode interference and surge voltage; The module is equipped with
LED status indicator lights for each input channel. When a signal
is input to a certain input channel and correctly recognized by the
module, the corresponding LED light will light up in green to
facilitate operators to intuitively understand the input status of
each channel; The module encodes and processes the input signal,
converts it into digital form, communicates with other modules of
the PLC through the backplane bus, and transmits the collected
input signal status data to the CPU. In some cases, it may be
equipped with communication interfaces such as Modbus RTU to
facilitate connection and data exchange with other devices that
support corresponding communication protocols. It can achieve
remote monitoring, parameter setting, and fault diagnosis
functions, facilitate system integration and management, and is
widely used in industrial automation control systems.
