UL910 ASTM E84 Steiner Tunnel Long Tunnel Furnace Flame Propagation Test Device
Steiner Tunnel Product introduce:
UL910/NFPA262 Steiner horizontal tunnel furnace is mainly used for flame retardant performance testing of CMP-level wires and cables, and is mainly used for cables in horizontal subsystems that are directly laid in ventilation or forced ventilation environments without metal pipelines. This flame retardant test standard represents the most stringent flame retardant test standard of UL in the United States and even the entire wire and cable flame retardant test. Only cables with fluorine material sheath layers can pass this flame retardant test method. Since fluoroplastics have a high decomposition temperature (greater than 400 degrees) and a high ignition point (above 800 degrees), they are not easy to burn when the fire is not large, so they have better fire resistance than other organic materials.
Steiner Tunnel Standard:
ASTM E84: The full name is "Standard Test Method for Surface Burning Characteristics of Building Materials", developed by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM). UL 910: It is the most demanding cable standard in the UL fire protection standard, applicable to plenum cables, also known as the air supply combustion test or Steiner duct test. NFPA 262: Also a standard developed by NFPA, it may be related to the fire resistance of building materials. UL 723: Standard developed by Underwriters Laboratories (UL), similar to ASTM E84, for testing the flame propagation and smoke generation characteristics of building materials. CAN/ULC S102: Canadian standard for evaluating the surface burning characteristics of building materials. UBC Standard 8-1: A related standard in the Uniform Building Code (UBC) that involves the fire resistance of building materials. NFPA 255: A standard developed by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) for evaluating the surface burning characteristics of building materials.
Steiner Tunnel Specifications:
Steiner Tunnel Features:
1. Stainless steel combustion test box, with a brick structure
inside, can resist flame impact and has good thermal insulation
performance;
Steiner Tunnel Application:
ASTM E84 Steiner furnace test is widely used to evaluate the fire performance of various building materials. The specific application range of materials includes:
Floor decoration materials: such as wood flooring, carpet, etc.
Cable: This CMP cable is typically installed in ventilation ducts or air return plenums used in air handling equipment and is approved for use in Canada and the United States.
