ISO 1716 300ml Oxygen Bomb Calorimeter Instrument For Building Material
|
ISO 1716 Gross Heat Of Combustion Testing Bomb Calorimeter ISO 1716:2018 (latest version)
Release date: May 2018
Content:
Specifies the method for determining the gross calorific value of solid products in a bomb calorimeter, with the test being carried out under a constant volume and oxygen atmosphere.
Includes sample preparation, combustion process, heat calculation and calibration methods, based on the temperature rise of water caused by combustion, taking into account heat losses and the latent heat of vaporization of water.
Appendix A provides the calculation method for the net heat of combustion (QPCI) (if required).
Appendix B provides information on the precision of the test method.
Note: Liquid products can be tested with similar equipment and conditions in accordance with ASTM D240, IEC 61039 or ISO 1928.
Homogeneous materials: such as mineral wool insulation, fiber reinforced cement board, silicate board, etc. Heterogeneous materials (multi-layer composite materials): such as insulation with facings, sealing compounds, etc., each layer of material needs to be tested separately.
Fuel:
Solid fuel: such as coal, coke (refer to ASTM D5865).
Other combustible materials:
Plastics, rubber, wood, textiles, etc., used to evaluate their
energy release potential.
Typical application scenarios:
Building products must comply with the EU Construction Products Regulation (CPR), obtain the CE mark, and be classified into fire protection levels such as A1, A2, A1fl, A2fl, A1L, A2L.
Evaluation of the calorific value of materials in high-safety
fields such as railways and ships
