Instroduction

The GM low-temperature crack testing instrument, single tabletop type, is used for operation in the cold chamber. It consists of stainless steel tubes, stainless steel drop weights, stop pins and sample holders. The stop pins are placed into the machine holes and the pressing weights are hung at the designated height. Once the sample has completed the low-temperature soaking in the test fixture, the testing technician impacts the sample by removing the stop pins.

Operation Procedure

This low-temperature crack tester is equipped with a stainless steel guide fixture, a stainless steel drop hammer, and an aluminum test frame. All these components are used in the cold box.

1. Place the sample on the base tray.

2. According to the requirements of the test sample, adjust the drop height of the weight to achieve the required impact force for the test sample.

3. The impact weight is suspended in the guide fixture by the stop pin. The upper stop pin can be used to record the drop height of the weight during the test.

4. After preparation is complete, move the lower stop pin to release the weight from the tray and place it on top of the bottom sample. Observe the sample for evaluation.
