1.Product Introduction
The instrument has the following two functions to choose from: 1.
Longitudinal diameter measurement method: For fiber samples with a
circular cross-section, the fibers can be directly arranged in
parallel on a glass slide after being straightened, or cut into 0.2
- 0.4 mm small segments using a Hargreaves slicer and placed on the
glass slide. The longitudinal image of the fiber is displayed on
the screen through the microscopic image processing system, and the
diameter is automatically measured by clicking on the edge of the
fiber. 2. Cross-sectional area method: For fiber samples with a
non-circular cross-section, the fiber samples are first sliced
using a Hargreaves slicer. The transverse cross-sectional slices of
the fiber are placed on the stage, and the cross-sectional area of
the fiber is displayed and measured on the screen through the
microscopic image processing system. Then, the equivalent diameter
is automatically calculated.
The instrument consists of a microscope, a computer, and image
analysis system software. The microscope has three objective lenses
available for selection: 10X, 20X, and 40X. The instrument has a
resolution of 0.1 μm (micrometers) and a measurement range of 2 -
200 μm (micrometers).
