Relocatable Prefab Modular Buildings for Residential House Basic Information
Product Overview Prefabricated Construction and modular homes are sectional
prefabricated buildings consisting of multiple sections called
modules. This modular construction method differs from traditional
stick-built approaches. The modules are six-sided boxes constructed
in an exterior facility, then delivered to their intended site.
Using a crane, the modules are set onto the building's foundation
and joined together to create a single building. Modules can be
placed side-by-side, end-to-end, or stacked, allowing wide variety
of configurations and styles. Modular buildings differ from mobile homes in two key ways. First,
modular homes do not have axles or a frame and are transported via
flat-bed trucks. Second, modular buildings must conform to all
local building codes, while mobile homes follow federal codes. Some
residential modular buildings built on steel frames (on-frame
modular) meet local building codes and are considered modular homes
