ThreeBond 1530 is a one-component, solvent-free, moisture-curing elastomeric adhesive based on a silyl-ended special polymer. It appears as a white paste with approx. 98% non-volatile content, specific gravity 1.39 (25°C), and tack-free/tacky stage occurs in approx. 7 min (23°C, 50% RH).

TB1530 cures upon exposure to ambient moisture forming a tough elastomer—no heat, UV or primer required. It is solvent-free, odorless and isocyanate-free. The cured bond line offers 280% elongation, good weather resistance and peel strength. Suitable for bonding metals, plastics (ABS, PC, Nylon, FRP etc.), rubbers (NBR, CR, SBR, EPDM, Silicone), wood, glass and inorganic substrates—including difficult-to-bond silicone rubber and rigid PVC—without primer.

ey features include an initial tack stage (7–20 min after application, enabling temporary fixation without jigs) and no low-molecular cyclic siloxane generation—unlike conventional RTVs—thus preventing contact contamination in electronics. Cured properties: Tensile Strength 5.9 MPa, Elongation 280%, Hardness JIS A 44, Tg -55°C, Volume Resistivity 5.0×10¹⁰ Ω·m. Lap shear strength (Al/Al) 6.6 MPa, T-peel (Al/Al) 2.5 kN/m. Shows measurable but manageable resistance to 10% H₂SO₄ and 10% KOH (7 days/40°C).

ThreeBond 1530 is widely used in automotive (powertrain & electrical components, sensor mounting, gasket replacement sealing), construction/marine equipment structural bonding; in electronics for mobile/computer internal part bonding, PCB component potting and sealing (no siloxane fogging); and in general industry for dissimilar material bonding (metal-plastic, silicone rubber, rigid PVC, EPDM), gap sealing and small-scale potting.
