Automotive Gasket Maker Silicone Sealant​ LOCTITER 587TM

LOCTITER 587 is a one-component oxime silicone sealant in metallic blue paste form (uncured). With thixotropic properties to minimize migration, it cures at room temperature (RTV) and is designed for gasket replacement/dressing in automotive engines, withstanding temperatures up to 260°C.

It delivers superior adhesion strength and flexibility, enhancing load-bearing and shock absorption. With excellent bonding to diverse substrates and outstanding resistance to automotive engine oils, it is ready-to-use without mixing, forming durable seals as a direct replacement for conventional gaskets.

Primarily used in automotive engine sealing: valve covers, rocker covers, oil pans, water pumps, end seals, intake manifolds, and rear axle housings. In industrial maintenance, it seals flange joints in compressors, gearboxes, and heavy machinery for OEMs and plant upkeep.
