Alloy Steel Right-Angle L-Bolt M12 with Black Oxide Coating for Industrial Machinery Base Mounting
1,Description: Anchor bolts, as fastening components, are widely used for the anchoring of steel structure column bases and various types of equipment. They effectively transfer vertical and horizontal loads acting on steel structures and equipment to the foundation concrete, and are an essential component of structural foundation design. Given the importance of anchor bolts, current Chinese building structural design codes and manuals contain specific provisions regarding their design methods and construction requirements. Designers can use these provisions to determine the required anchor bolt diameter, embedment depth, spacing and edge distance. However, during the design process, these codes and manuals do not provide precise explanations for certain issues, and there is a discrepancy between the design methods and the actual stress mechanisms, which may result in overly conservative design outcomes. This paper will briefly explore these issues and, drawing on relevant research findings from both China and abroad as well as the latest international design codes, aims to identify a more rational design method for anchor bolts.
2,Applications: The design specifications for anchor bolts include material
selection, dimensions, embedment depth and installation methods,
ensuring the safety and stability of the structure.
3,Technical Advantages Spacing and Arrangement The spacing of anchor bolts should be arranged appropriately in accordance with the structural load characteristics and installation requirements. Generally speaking, the spacing should not be too large or too small, in order to ensure the structural integrity and stability. When arranging the bolts, consideration should also be given to the distance between the bolts and the edge of the foundation to avoid edge effects that could compromise the anchoring performance. Anchoring Methods There are various methods for anchoring anchor bolts, the most common being direct embedding, pre-drilled hole installation and anchor plate installation. Different anchoring methods are suitable for different engineering situations and must be selected according to specific requirements. Direct-embedded anchor bolts are simple to install but offer little scope for adjustment; pre-drilled hole bolts allow for adjustment during installation but are relatively complex to install; anchor plate bolts are suitable for large-diameter bolts and situations involving significant tensile forces. Tightening Requirements Anchor bolts must be tightened after installation to ensure a secure and reliable connection between the foundation and the superstructure. The tightening force must be controlled in accordance with design requirements, and a torque wrench is generally used for this purpose. During the tightening process, care must be taken to apply torque symmetrically and evenly to prevent the bolts from becoming loose or overtightened.
