1,Description: General Provisions and Dimension Verification for Anchor Bolts Article 1: There are generally two methods for embedding anchor bolts in concrete foundations: pre-embedding and the method of embedding via secondary grouting into pre-drilled holes. Article 2 The method of embedding anchor bolts directly into the foundation is applicable to towers, tall vessels, spherical tanks and machinery subject to significant vibration. Article 3 When embedding anchor bolts directly, the distance a between the centreline of the anchor bolt and the edge of the foundation shall be ≥100 mm, as shown in the figure below. Where this cannot be met, the civil engineering discipline must be consulted to reinforce the foundation reinforcement. Clause 4: Reserve holes for anchor bolts; after inserting the anchor bolts, secure them by grouting. This method is suitable for stationary equipment such as horizontal vessels, heat exchangers and small vertical vessels, as well as machinery and pumps that generate minimal vibration. Its advantage is that it facilitates the adjustment of anchor bolt positioning dimensions without the need for positioning templates. Clause 5: The dimensions of the reserved holes must meet the requirements of both civil engineering works and equipment installation. See the diagram below. The minimum dimensions of the reserved holes (A × A) shall be 100 × 100 (mm). The distance from the bolt flange to the hole wall (e) shall be ≥20 mm, and the distance from the hole wall to the edge of the foundation (b) shall be ≥100 mm. Where b cannot meet the 100 mm requirement, the bolts may be embedded, or the structural engineering department may be consulted to reinforce the foundation reinforcement. The distance from the bolt flange to the bottom of the hole (B) shall be 80 mm.

3,Technical Advantages Spacing and Arrangement The spacing of anchor bolts should be arranged appropriately in accordance with the structural load characteristics and installation requirements. Generally speaking, the spacing should not be too large or too small, in order to ensure the structural integrity and stability. When arranging the bolts, consideration should also be given to the distance between the bolts and the edge of the foundation to avoid edge effects that could compromise the anchoring performance. Anchoring Methods There are various methods for anchoring anchor bolts, the most common being direct embedding, pre-drilled hole installation and anchor plate installation. Different anchoring methods are suitable for different engineering situations and must be selected according to specific requirements. Direct-embedded anchor bolts are simple to install but offer little scope for adjustment; pre-drilled hole bolts allow for adjustment during installation but are relatively complex to install; anchor plate bolts are suitable for large-diameter bolts and situations involving significant tensile forces. Tightening Requirements Anchor bolts must be tightened after installation to ensure a secure and reliable connection between the foundation and the superstructure. The tightening force must be controlled in accordance with design requirements, and a torque wrench is generally used for this purpose. During the tightening process, care must be taken to apply torque symmetrically and evenly to prevent the bolts from becoming loose or overtightened.
