Hanging by the porcelain, porcelain insulator iron cap and steel
legs with no less than 525 Portland cement, quartz sand cement gel
pack. The contact surface between the iron cap and the steel foot
and the adhesive is lightly coated with a buffer layer, and the top
of the steel foot is provided with elastic liner. Porcelain surface
generally painted white glaze, brown glaze, according to the need
to draw other glaze. The surface of iron cap and steel foot is all
hot-dip galvanized.
Insulator according to the connection points ball type and trough
type two kinds. The push-pull type elastic locking pin of ball-type
connection has two types: w-type and r-type, both of which are made
of tin bronze, brass and austenitic stainless steel. Grooved
cylindrical and hunchback cotter pins, the former having a hot zinc
surface and the latter made of brass.
Insulators play two fundamental roles in overhead transmission
lines, namely supporting the conductors and preventing current from
returning to the ground. These two functions must be ensured. The
insulators should not fail due to various electromechanical
stresses caused by changes in environmental and electrical load
conditions. Otherwise, the insulator will not have a major effect,
which will damage the use and operating life of the entire line.
