Copper Foam is low density permeable material with numerous applications. The defining characteristic of these foams is a very high porosity, typically >98% of the volume consisting of void spaces. Metallic foams have found a wide variety of applications in heat exchangers, energy absorption, flow diffusion and lightweight optics. Ceramic foam is often used for thermal insulation, acoustic insulation, adsorption of environmental pollutants, filtration of molten metal alloys, and as substrate for catalysts requiring large internal surface area. 1 Copper foam has great function of conducting heat and electricity, which can be used as the electrode substrate of lithium ion battery or fuel cell or Nickel zinc battery and electric double layer capacitor electrode material.

2 The copper foam can be also used as Heat sink materials, heat absorption materials, chemical catalyst carrier, electromagnetic shielding materials, filtration materials, damping materials, battery electrode materials, deadening, high-grade decorative materials.
