Shore 000 Durometer Test Hardness Of Ultra Soft Gels And Sponge Rubber
|
Shore 000 Durometer Is Used to test Hardness of Ultra Soft Gels and Sponge Rubber
Shore dutometer conforms to standards ASTM D2240. Shore 000 durometer is used to test hardness of Ultra soft gels and sponge rubber.. Shore A: Soft rubber, plastics, and elastomers, printer's rolls Shore D: Hard rubber and plastics such as thermo plastics, flooring and bowling balls. Shore B: Harder elastomers and plastics. Paper and fibrous materials, Use above 93 Duro A. Shore C: Medium hard elastomers and plastics. Also useful to avoid surface marks. Shore DO: Dense granular material, textile windings Shore O: Very soft elastomers, textile windings, soft granular materials. Use below 20 Duro A Shore OO: Light foams, sponge rubber gels, animal tissue. Shore M: Materials as thin as .050"
2.Main parameters for Shore OOO Dial value:1-100 degree Pointer journey:0-2.5mm Spring force:111.1cn Testing force:400g Presser foot size:≥500mm² Testing depth:2-5mm Stress at the end of pointer:0.55N-8.06N of A-type and O-type;0-44.5N of D-type,0.203-1.111 of 00-type 3.Operation instructions Put the sample on a solid plane, hold the durometer to make the pointer at least 12mm away from the sample edge, and stably put the legs of durometer on the sample. Thus the pointer straightly goes into the sample till the legs completely get to the sample. Check the reading in 1s.Repeat such test 5 times at different place which are at least 6mm away from the test point and find the average reading(the distance between porous materials is at least 15mm). 4.Notices Check to make sure before test that the pointer points to zero(if not indicates zero, users may turn the dial plate to regulate the pointer to zero). When press the durometer on the glass plane, the figure should indicate 100 degree(the top of pointer an its legs should tightly touch the glass). If it does not indicates ZERO or 100 degree, slightly press the pointer several times; if there is still error, it is advisable to send it back to the manufacturer. If it allows, rubber samples should be under the laboratory standard temperature. If the test result of the sample by A-type durometer goes beyond 90 degrees, it is advisable to use D-type durometer. When the test of the sample by D-type durometer goes below 20 degrees, it is advisable to use A-type durometer. If the figure on A-type duorometer is below 10 degrees; it is incorrect and can’t be used. When all the tests are over, users should clean the gauge, put it back into the box and keep it in a dry place. |
