Eddy Current Far-field Probe for Heat Exchangers Ferromagnetic Tubes
The eddy current sensor is based on the principle of
electromagnetic induction. It generates an alternating magnetic
field through a coil. When approaching a conductive object, the
magnetic field will induce eddy currents on the object's surface.
The reverse magnetic field produced by the eddy currents will
change the impedance of the coil. By measuring the impedance
change, the characteristics of the object being measured can be
inferred, such as surface cracks, material sorting, thickness
measurement, etc., making it suitable
Eddy current probes are classified into internal penetration type,
external penetration type and point type. According to different
industry application scenarios, the appropriate classification
probes are selected. Their application scenarios are extensive,
covering multiple industrial fields.
- Aerospace: It is used to detect cracks on the surface of turbine
blades and compressor blades.
- Petrochemical industry: It is used to detect corrosion and cracks
on the inner and outer walls of pipelines transporting oil, natural
gas and chemicals.
- Power industry: It is used for the detection of heat exchange tube
bundles in heat exchangers and surface crack detection of steam
turbine blades.
- Automobile manufacturing: It is used to detect cracks on the
surface of engine blocks, crankshafts and valves.
- Railway transportation: It is used to detect surface cracks and
wear on train wheels, rails and turnouts.
- Nuclear industry: It is used to detect oxidation and cracks in
nuclear power plant pipelines.
- Shipbuilding: It is used to detect surface cracks and corrosion of
weld seams in ship hull welding.
Application scenarios | The probe is mainly applied to ferromagnetic tubes in heat
exchangers, heat exchanger tube bundles and other pipelines. It can
effectively detect cracks, corrosion and wear, and provides two
excitation modes: dual excitation and single excitation. |
Product Features | The stainless steel shell is wear-resistant and reduces the usage
cost for customers. We offer domestic production of imported probes,
with faster delivery times and more favorable procurement costs. |
