High pressure CO2 fire extinguishing system
Description:
A form of fire suppression system called a CO2 fire extinguishing system employs carbon dioxide gas (CO2) to put out fires. This technology is frequently used to safeguard sensitive facilities like data centers, electrical equipment rooms, and other places where water or other types of fire suppression chemicals can cause harm. A storage cylinder or bank of cylinders carrying pressurized CO2 gas, linked pipework, and discharge nozzles make up the conventional CO2 fire extinguisher system. The CO2 gas is released from the cylinders and piped to the discharge nozzles, where it is directed toward the fire, when the system is turned on manually or automatically. The oxygen in the air is replaced when the CO2 gas is released, resulting in an oxygen-deficient environment that suffocates the fire. By absorbing heat and bringing the temperature of the surrounding air down, CO2 gas can also be used to effectively put out a fire. Based on the size, kind, and potential fire threats of the covered area, CO2 fire extinguishing systems are often created to satisfy specific fire protection criteria. Local fire codes or insurance companies frequently mandate these systems for particular kinds of facilities or operations. The performance and safety of CO2 fire extinguisher systems depend on proper installation, upkeep, and operation.
Parameter:
Components
The three major components of the pipe network type CO2 automatic fire suppression system are described below. Electrical accessories, pipe fittings, and extinguishing equipment. Extinguishing devices include items like CO2 cylinders for storing fuel, frames with driving devices (nitrogen cylinders) that cause the storage cylinders to release agents, and so on. Pipe fittings, which include high pressure galvanized steel pipe, flanges, elbows, and other components, are conduits used to link extinguishing equipment and agents that direct fire into protective zones. Electrical accessories are those items that are used to detect and monitor the entire protective area, regulate the entire system, alert people to flee, and stop the spread of fire. These three combined components work well together to automatically detect, monitor, alarm, and put out fires.
Applications:
Library and archives room, electronic computer room, electrical substation, telecommunication room, hangar, garage, marine engine room, cargo, paint-spraying room, boiler room, control center, etc. It is suitable for putting out all kinds of the fires of flammable liquid and solid matter; gas fire in which power can be cut off before extinguishing the fire.
