White Powder Polyluminium Chloride Coagulant in Drinking Water
Treatment Process Description: Bluwat PAC-01 grade is white powder poly aluminum chloride. It has
low basicity of 40-55%, excellent at reducing particles while
maintaining good phosphorus removal properties, and effective
coagulant for the treatment of both drinking water and wastewater. They react to form insoluble aluminum poly-hydroxides which
precipitate in big volumetric flocs. The flocs absorb suspended
pollutants in the water which are precipitated with the PAC and can
together be easily removed. PAC can be used as a flocculant for all types of water treatment,
including drinking water, industrial wastewater, urban wastewater,
and the paper industry. It is also widely applied in water purification, wastewater
treatment, precision cast, paper production, the pharmaceutical
industry, and daily chemicals. Polyaluminum Chloride (PAC) compounds were developed to provide
better performance than alum could offer. While they accomplished
this goal, they also provide additional cost benefits when compared
to alum. PAC has a minimal impact on pH and therefore minimized the
need to feed adjustment chemicals. And it is able to do a better
job while using 30-60% less aluminum on average. This translates
roughly to a similar percentage reduction in the amount of sludge
produced.
