Marine IMPA Tool Petro Anti-Corrosion Tape Petro Wrap
Petro Anti-Corrosion tape has been developed for long term protection of
metal surfaces that are underground, underwater, or exposed –
even in the most severe environments. It consists of a cold applied system of petrolatum-based
faseal Petro Anti Corrosion Tape, Faseal Petro
Primer, and, where contouring is necessary, Petro Wrap
Mastic. Petro Wrap adheres to surfaces without heating, even
on damp and/or indifferently prepared areas. Key Features
· Petrolatum-Based Technology: The synthetic carrier (usually non-woven polyester or fabric) is saturated with a neutral, inert petrolatum compound that actively repels water and adheres to irregular shapes. · Self-Amalgamating / Self-Fusing: Overlaps fuse into a single cohesive mass, creating a homogeneous waterproof barrier without the need for primers or special tools. · Non-Hardening & Removable: Remains permanently plastic and never cures hard, allowing for easy removal for inspection without damaging the underlying substrate. · High Chemical Resistance: Provides excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, salts, and (microbial) corrosion. · Cathodic Disbondment Resistance: Compatible with cathodic protection systems; does not shield protective currents.
