ASTM B366 WPHC276 N10276 Seamless Alloy Steel Fitting Concentric
Reducer B16.9
ASTM B366 specification covers wrought welding fittings for pressure piping,
factory-made from nickel and nickel alloys. Threaded fittings as
covered in ASME B16.11 are also covered by this specification. The
term welding applies to butt-welding or socket-welding parts such
as 45 and 90° elbows, 180° bends, caps, tees, reducers, lap-joint
stub ends, and other types, as covered by ASME B16.9, ASME B16.11,
MSS SP-43, MSS SP-95, and MSS SP-97. N10276, also known as Hastelloy C276 or UNS N10276, it is a nickel
chromium molybdenum solid solution strengthened superalloys.
ASTM B366 N10276 alloy steel fittings require strict production processes and
quality testing, including high-precision CNC machining and
rigorous non-destructive testing methods. Ensure that the
dimensional accuracy, surface quality, and performance indicators
of the fittings meet the standard requirements to meet the specific
needs of customers.
- Main components: including nickel (about 57%), chromium (about 16%), molybdenum
(about 16%), and added elements such as iron, tungsten, and cobalt.
- Corrosion resistance: It has strong resistance to almost all forms of corrosion,
including reducing acids and oxidizing acids (such as sulfuric
acid, hydrochloric acid, etc.), as well as seawater, chloride, wet
chlorine gas, oxidizing salts, and hypochlorite salts.
- Antioxidant properties: Excellent antioxidant properties at high temperatures up to 1900 °
F (1038 ° C).
- Strength and toughness: Under annealing conditions, the yield strength is 41ksi (345MPa),
and excellent toughness is maintained at low temperatures

Application:
- Chemical industry: In the chemical industry, ASTM B366 N10276 alloy steel fittings
are commonly used to manufacture various corrosion-resistant
equipment and components, such as reactors, storage tanks,
pipelines, etc. These devices need to withstand the erosion of
various highly corrosive media, such as hydrochloric acid, sulfuric
acid, hydrofluoric acid, etc. The corrosion resistance of N10276
fittings enables them to operate stably in these harsh environments
for a long time, ensuring the safety and efficiency of chemical
production.
- Petroleum refining and petrochemical industry: In the petroleum refining and petrochemical industry, ASTM B366
N10276 alloy steel fittings are widely used for transporting
various corrosive media, such as crude oil, natural gas,
petrochemical products, etc. These media often contain high
concentrations of corrosive components such as sulfides and
chlorides, which place extremely high demands on the corrosion
resistance of pipeline systems. N10276 alloy steel fittings, with
their excellent corrosion resistance, ensure the safe operation of
pipeline systems and improve the efficiency and reliability of
petroleum refining and petrochemical production.
- Pharmaceutical and Environmental Protection Industries: ASTM B366 N10276 alloy steel fittings also play an important role
in the pharmaceutical and environmental protection industries.
During the pharmaceutical process, it is necessary to strictly
control the purity and corrosiveness of the medium to ensure the
quality and safety of the drug. In the environmental protection
industry, it is necessary to treat various wastewater and exhaust
gases containing corrosive components. The corrosion resistance of
N10276 alloy steel fittings enables them to meet the high
requirements of these industries for pipeline systems, ensuring
smooth production processes and environmental protection.
- Ocean Engineering: The field of ocean engineering is also one of the important
application areas for ASTM B366 N10276 alloy steel fittings. Due to
the highly corrosive nature of the marine environment, it poses a
significant challenge to the corrosion resistance of pipeline
systems. N10276 alloy steel fittings are widely used in
marine engineering equipment such as subsea pipelines and offshore
platforms due to their excellent resistance to seawater corrosion,
ensuring the safety and reliability of marine engineering.
- Other fields: In addition to the above-mentioned fields, ASTM B366 N10276 alloy
steel fittings are also applied in the food industry, paper
industry, and other fields. In the food industry, N10276 fittings
can ensure hygiene and safety during the food production process;
In the paper industry, N10276 alloy steel fittings can withstand
the erosion of various corrosive media during the papermaking
process, ensuring the stable operation of the production line.
