Copper steel tube sheet is a composite material made of copper plate and steel plate by explosion welding, which combines the physical, chemical and mechanical properties of steel plate and copper plate, saving costs for customers. Copper clad steel tube sheet has good conductivity and sufficient ductility, which is easy to form.

Naval Brass C46400 is an alloy consisting mainly of copper and zinc with up to 1% tin. Admiralty Brass 46400 is highly resistant to corrosion in seawater at higher than normal temperatures while also ensuring increased strength and rigidity.

Originally used in marine applications, this naval brass has good corrosion resistance in moderately polluted river water and clean seawater. The alloy is widely used in heat exchange equipment under moderate operating conditions.

It has excellent hot working capabilities and is well suited for hot forging and hot pressing. This Admiralty Brass is also suitable for drawing, forming, bending and upsetting.

Where is the stationary Tubesheet located in the floating head heat exchanger?

The tubesheet at the rear header end of the shell is of slightly smaller diameter than the shell, allowing the bundle to be pulled through the shell. The use of a floating head means that thermal expansion can be allowed for and the tube bundle can be removed for cleaning.
