317L stainless steel is a low carbon, high molybdenum austenitic
stainless steel. It is a highly corrosion-resistant alloy with
excellent resistance to acidic and alkaline solutions, especially
in chloride environments.The low carbon content of 317L stainless
steel makes it more resistant to the sensitization and subsequent
intergranular corrosion that can occur in certain high-temperature
applications. High molybdenum content (up to 3%) provides excellent
resistance to pitting and crevices in corrosive environments.Due to
its excellent corrosion resistance, 317L stainless steel is
commonly used in applications that require high corrosion
resistance, such as chemical processing plants, pulp and paper
mills, and the food and beverage industry. It is also used in
architectural applications such as roofing and cladding of
buildings in coastal environments.
In the preparation process of SUS317L, the chemical composition
needs to be strictly controlled to ensure the uniform distribution
of alloying elements and the best performance. The corresponding
domestic and foreign brands of SUS317L are 317L and UNS S31703.
During the processing of SUS317L, the appropriate cutting
parameters, coolant, etc. need to be selected according to the
specific application requirements to ensure the processing
quality.SUS317L has good resistance to hydrogen sulfide corrosion
in the process of oil and gas exploitation and transportation,
which can improve the ety of equipment. SUS317L has good resistance
to high temperature stress fracture and can maintain good stability
and corrosion resistance in high temperature stress fracture
environment.
