The characteristics of ASTM B983 NO7718

NO7718 has excellent strength at temperatures up to 816ºC. At higher temperatures, its strength is generally lower than that of other solid solution-reinforced alloys. At temperatures up to 980ºC, Inconel 625 has good oxidation resistance and shows good resistance to water corrosion, but its corrosion resistance is relatively average compared to other more capable corrosion resistant alloys.
