What is A234 WP11 Material?

The fittings differ in sizes, shapes and standards. The variety of fittings made from the A234 Grade WP11 material include adapters, unions, couplings, tees, bends, elbows and others. The material grade is specific for mechanical properties but in some cases A234 WP11 Equivalent materials could be used as replacements when the requirements are not so specific. These have lower expansion rates under high temperature and can withstand high pressure. These properties can be used fully in Elbow A234 WP11 to make sure the elbow does not disorientate due to the expansion. The ASTM A234 Grade WP11 Elbow therefore could be fitted with other grades of material and yet maintain the integrity of the whole system.

The Alloy Steel Grade WP11 Fittings are durable and have high surface finish. The surface finish also provides high accuracy of dimensions along a wide range of fittings which is important in precision fittings for sensitive applications like the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. They also have steady flow and good turbulent flow. The chemical composition of the ASTM A234 WP11 Fittings makes it possible to have all the best mechanical properties. The composition includes carbon, manganese, phosphorus, silicon, sulfur, chromium and molybdenum.

The WP11 is one of these standards which includes seamless pipes for high pressure and temperature applications.
