BER4001(ER40 Vertical (6+6)PIN) Power Distribution Transformer 3
Phase Power Transformer
A power transformer is a static electrical device. It
utilizes the principle of electromagnetic induction to convert
alternating current energy of one voltage and current into
alternating current energy of another or several voltages and
currents of the same frequency. It is mainly composed of an iron
core, windings, oil tank, cooling device, insulating bushing, tap
changer and other parts, and plays a key role in increasing or
decreasing voltage, transmitting and distributing electrical energy
in the power system.
During the process of power transmission, power
transformers can reduce the current in transmission lines by
increasing the voltage, thereby reducing energy loss in the lines
and improving the efficiency of power transmission. They can
achieve long-distance and large-capacity power transmission.
Power transformers achieve efficient conversion of
electrical energy in the processes of power generation,
transmission and distribution, and have become irreplaceable core
equipment in modern power systems.
