Positioners provide steel fabrication shops with the most up-to-date equipment for placing bulky fabrications in the ‘downhand’ position in the shortest possible time without the use of cranes and manpower. The positioners tables rotate at accurate and constant variable speeds and tilt through 135° with a high C.G. load rating covering almost all anglers for welding any angular job placed on it. Description:
 

This kind welding positioner mainly consists of mainframe, worktable, overturing unit, rotation unit, and 

electric control part, etc.

1．Mainframe, rotary table and cabinet combination of such components are welded, all welds of equal 

strength according to the requirements of welding seam, and remove the stress and prevent welding 

deformation processing.

2．Worktable and the U-shaped pieces welded after the whole processing. Panel to open a number of long uniform waist hole, the 

user can be equipped with special workpiece fixtures, convenient workpiece clamping. On the surface of 

the panel also has a set of concentric circles with diameters from small to large, orderly distributed evenly 

from the inside out, which can be reduced as a tooling fixture eccentricity when the reference identification.

3．Slewing mechanism mounted on the rotating box, there installed a semicircle gear and an overturning 

axis on the side of the rotation box, two sets with the fixed shaft and bearings within the bearing to form a 

sliding bearing deputy, with welded to the rack. Slewing Y series motor, worm gear reducer through the 

output gear driven slewing ring, which drives the rotary table smooth. In order to meet the different needs 

of the welding workpiece diameter, rotation speed can be adjusting in 10 times the range of frequency 

stepless adjustable.

4．YEJ series motor drive the overturing unit, through two grade worm and wheel reducer output by 

double gear, output turning speed is 0.3r/min. because it adopts break motor, the worm and wheel reducer

 has large strength self-lock function, so the work piece can be positioned at random position in the range of 0～135°. Convenient

for the work piece positioned at the target place, it equipped with limit device at one side of overturning 

axis, this device mainly has two functions: First is can show the angle overtured on time which convenient 

for work piece positioning; second is make sure not exceed the angle range of overturning and avoid 

accident, it action as limiting in time. Due to the overturning unit fixed on the mainframe, thus makes the

 equipment more beautiful.

5．Earthing should connected with power guide device when in the welding process, power guide 

connected with the rotation box which under work table, which ensure loop all the time when welding. 

6．Electric control system consists of control box and remote control box, there are inverter, relay, 

terminal et. In the control box, main loop of each motor designed with breaker protection, which can protect

 the motor from short and overload. On the control panel it designed with power indicator, warning

 indicator, warning eliminate and power switch. Remote control box designed with overturning switch, 

rotation speed adjusting knob and positive and negative turning knob, and so on.

Welding positioners enable large, bulky or awkward workpieces to be accurately positioned to achieve the ‘down hand’ welding position without the need for overhead cranes or additional manpower or handling equipment.
